James is Otis, a young cow who is very grown-up, much to the chagrin of his dad, Ben Elliott, who keeps watch for predatory coyotes when the others party. Dom Irrera stands out as Duke the Dog. Live Flesh – Crazed child of a prostitute is incarcerated for unintentionally shooting and paralyzing a cop. Original story of teenager’s blunder that takes him to prison. Spanish language. Cinematically stimulating, albeit, with a bravura finale. Cast includes Pedro Almodovar, Liberto Rabal, Francesca Neri, Javier Bardem, Angela Molina, Jose Sancho, and Penelope Cruz. (100 minutes, 1997)
The Beverly Hillbillies – This is a movie based on the 1960′s TV series. When Jed Clampett inadvertently discovers oil on his farm land in Arkansas, he becomes an instant millionaire. He brings the whole Clampett kin out to Beverly Hills. Being unpretentious country folk they are prey to every money hungry con artist in the great big city.
In Enemy Country – So-so designer of WW2 enthrall, set in France and England, filmed on a back-lot. Not very persuading. Cast includes Tony Franciosa, Anjanette Comer, Guy Stockwell, Paul Hubschmid, Tom Bell, and Emile Genest. (107 minutes, 1968)
Jerry Maguire – Jerry is an agent for a top Sports Management group. When he is terminated, he expects his client to come along with him as he sets out on his own. All of a sudden Jerry finds out that he has no sincere friends in this cutthroat, dog eat dog, business. Down to one client and one assistant, Jerry fights to build himself a business.
The Bourne Ultimatum – In the third motion picture of the series, Jason Bourne is still being hunted by those who had trained him into the ultimate assassin that he is. Having lost his memory when almost being murdered, Bourne is retracing his past to try to recognize who he was, and why everybody wants him dead. All his skills are put to the test, as the C.I.A. is relentless in its effort to have him eliminated. Starring Matt Damon and Julia Stiles.
Batman – The comic book T.V. show hits the silver screen. An wicked and diabolical criminal, renowned as The Joker, is attempting to take over Gotham City. The police are powerless to stop him. The city is in danger, until a new super hero emerges. An unidentified force, so to be called Batman comes on the scene and defeats The Joker and save the city.
Big Trouble in Little China – Buddy Blowhard trucker Russell finds himself at large in Chinatown, while a friend’s fiance is kidnapped right in front of his eyes. High tech Indiana Jones fashion adventure has large tongue-in-cheek manner, however everything else in reference to it is immense, too including Russell’s John Wayne swagger. Outstanding electric music score. The cast includes Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall, Dennis Dun, James Hong, Champ Wong, and Kate Burton. (99 minutes, 1986)
