There are so many Guitar Hero games available now it is difficult to choose one. We will review three of the games in this series.
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
This game will appeal to the Aerosmith fans. The game play, presentation, and features are like the previous games. Nothing new has been added. The music is all from Aerosmith, which is the main focus of this game.
To add to the replay value the game has many unlockables to keep you coming back. This is a good addition to the game, because besides from the music and the unlockables the game mechanics are basically the same.
Some people will look at this game as a filler for the next installment of Guitar hero games. But a lot of time and energy went in to the game to capture the look and feel of Aerosmith.
Guitar Hero 5
Because the game mechanics where so good from the beginning, it is hard to come with new games that will bring the genre to new heights. That is why we only see a modest amount of updates each game.
Guitar Hero 5 has made the game more presentable to the regular gamer. It is easy to jump in and start jamming on your guitar.
If you want to impress your friends, then you need to complete as much bonus challenges as you can. This is a new and very welcome addition to the game.
Guitar Hero: Van Halen
If you like the band specific Guitar Hero games then this game is a must have for your game collection. This game focuses on Van Halen, and you get to jam with them. How cool is that.
The band specific Guitar Hero games are a niche that the developers love to make. They might not bring new game play features to the series, but they bring a lot of personality and flair that Van Halen is known for.
The game is great. The animation and graphics of the characters is nicely done and everything comes together very nicely. If you are a fan of Van Halen you need to play this game.
If you are looking for a brand new experience you will be let down, but if you want to play good games then you won’t be disappointed.
