Interested in how to level a Rogue? You’re not the first, however, before we look too far into that, lets first go over what the Rogue class is all about.

The Rogue is essentially a melee class with a very high damage output. You need to enjoy melee combat and getting into the thick of things if you’re going to enjoy playing the Rogue. The Rogue is also a very stealthy opponent who excels at player vs player combat.

As good as it is, there are some weaknesses though. The Rogue is often seen as a dangerous target and therefore one of the first to be taken out in group player vs player scenarios. Additionally, when dual wielding, you will have a lower hit and damage ratio for your offhand weapon.

But regardless, the Rogue is still tons of fun to play as and they can cause a lot of grief and annoyance for other classes. Back now to how to level a Rogue, if you’re looking for some help, here’s a rotation that will help you in the beginning of the game:

Start with a Backstab/Garrote, then use Slice and Dice, Sinister Strike 1-5 times, then finish with Eviscerate/Rupture.

Doing this alone can get you all the way to 60 without much trouble. You can even use this from 60 to 80 pretty much, the only thing you may want to do is add Adrenaline Rush for more energy and Blade Fury for another quick speed boost.

If that build is getting tiresome for you, you may want to try the “Mutilate” build, it goes like this:

Start with Hunger for Blood 3 times, then Backstab, Slice and Dice, Mutilate and finish with Envenom or Rupture.

That should answer your questions regarding how to level a Rogue, the attack sequences of the Rogue are really quite simple so that should be enough to get you up and going. If you still want more info though, it’s best to look into a guide.
